It is a boat party, after all.

A Name
I was walking, willy-nilly, through the wood
with bones of frozen water crunching under my feet
I came upon a lake of ice
and stopped to ponder there
I threw a glance into the sky
and saw a crow fly high
something fell down from it's back
and hit the lake below
I heard the crack but didn't step back,
instead I ran towards the hole
I jump inside and there I find
a boy, frigid with cold
I took his arm and pulled him out
of water just like ice,
the boy's and mine's bones were just as cold
but then he awoke
He stood and stared and asked me there,
"Do you not have wings?"
I laughed and asked him back to mine
And as I turned, he gasped aloud -
"Why, you don't!"
He was not kidding, as I saw
for the feathers wrapped around his shoulders
lifted of their own volition
and stretched out, flinty with frost
He had wings, and I did not,
but he came anyway
We sat in front of the fireplace
I slept, and he went away.
I wonder what his name is.
